Erin Oechsel

My Story

My name is Erin O, a passionate actress, screenwriter, singer, and comedian from the Chicago suburbs. My love for performance began in summer theater at North Central College, which inspired me to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Ball State University.

I’ve had the privilege of working on both stage and screen, with credits at the renowned Drury Lane Theatre and Steppenwolf Theatre Company, as well as roles in shows like Chicago Fire and Chicago PD. I’ve also enjoyed performing in various commercial projects.

As a writer and producer, I created and starred in the award-winning web series NewB, allowing me to combine my love for storytelling with my performance skills. I also wrote and performed in cabaret shows Merry Musings and Post-Collegiate Shock Syndrome, where I get to showcase my musical parody chops.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a big fan of Sense and Sensibility, I love gift-giving, road trips, and cooking Italian food. One of my greatest joys is performing alongside my family, which I’ve been lucky to do many times over the years.
